The Belarusian army continues testing the combat readiness of its units. There are plans to draft a number of reservists as part of the campaign, the Belarusian Defense Ministry press service told BelTA.
Chief of the General Staff, First Deputy Defense Minister of Belarus, Major-General Viktor Gulevich said that the inspection is comprehensive and the scale of it will be increased.
The 19th Independent Mechanized Brigade of the Northwestern Operational Command and a number of army units of the Western Operational Command are being brought to readiness to carry out their missions. A number of reservists will be drafted as part of the inspection.
Personnel of the army units that are undergoing the inspection will have to take all the steps involved in preparing weapons, military and special hardware for actual use. Material and technical supplies will have to be loaded onto transport vehicles.
After that the troops will have to move to designated areas, occupy them, and stand ready to carry out a series of exercises, including those involving live ammunition.
Military hardware needs to be moved as part of the combat readiness inspection. This is why civilian traffic on public roads and parts of terrain may be temporarily restricted.
