Belstat published the results of the crop industry for 2023
The National Statistical Committee published the results of the crop industry last year, BelTA has learned.
The total sown area of crops in 2023 on farms of all categories (in agricultural organizations, peasant (farm) farms, farms of the population of) amounted to 5756 thousand hectares. Agricultural organizations accounted for 92% of the total sown area, peasant (farm) farms - 3.7%, households - 4.3%.
In 2023, in the farms of all categories, grain (in weight was milked after the completion of the) 7.7 million tons at an average yield of 33.2 c/ha. In terms of grain production, the championship belongs to the Minsk region (1.9 million tons, or 24.6% of the total production in the republic).
In 2023, 4 million tons of potatoes were accumulated in all categories of farms. From one hectare of harvested area received 248 c.
Gross collection of sugar beet in 2023 amounted to 4.8 million tons with an average yield of 477 c/ha.
In 2023, 37.2 thousand tons of flax fiber were produced, 8.5 tons were received from one hectare of harvested area.
Vegetables collected 2.8 million tons at an average yield of 298 c/ha.
105 Thousand tons of vegetables, or 3.8% of total production, were produced in protected soil. In the structure of vegetable production in protected soil the share of tomatoes was 58.2%, cucumbers - 40%, other vegetables - 1.8%.
In terms of the volume of vegetable production in protected soil superiority belongs to the Minsk region. In 2023, the region produced 46 thousand tons of vegetables, or 43.8% of the total production in the republic, including tomatoes - 27.7 thousand tons (45.4%), cucumbers - 16.9 thousand. t (40.2%).
