The agro-industrial complex of the district is represented by 5 agricultural production cooperatives, 2 communal unitary agricultural enterprises, and the Zarya pig-breeding complex.

The total land area of the district is 74520 hectares, of which 56763 are occupied by agricultural land, including 29838 hectares of arable land, 26812 hectares of meadowland. Ploughing of agricultural land - 52%.

Workers of the agro-industrial complex of the district consistently achieve high production indicators.

Due to the improvement of the structure of sown areas, the implementation of a number of measures aimed at increasing the productivity of fodder lands, the volume of harvesting of grass fodder increases annually. The balance of rations, the widespread use of new feeding technologies can significantly increase the productivity of livestock.

In accordance with the Republican program for equipping agricultural production, more than 100 units of new equipment are purchased annually, new complexes are put into operation.

In accordance with the State Program for the Revival and Development of the Village, 8 agro-towns were put into operation.

The "Personnel" program has been developed in the district aimed at providing all the necessary conditions for attracting young specialists to work in the agro-industrial complex, improving the professional training of specialists and workers.

On the territory of the Chashniki district, according to the comprehensive Republican scheme for the placement of fishing grounds, there are 11 lakes with a total area of 5,478.3 hectares, 8 lakes with a total area of 844.6 hectares can be leased.
